25 years as a City banking lawyer sat at a desk using a computer and a phone led to debilitating pain in my neck and lower back. Someone suggested I try Pilates to reduce the frequency of visits to the physio, which had failed to resolve my issues. Pilates helped to alleviate the pain I was suffering by giving me strength in my muscles and control of my joints. It also improved my posture and balance and enhanced my sense of well-being. I was amazed at the transformation in my body. I therefore decided to quit the day job and qualify as a Pilates instructor!


Why Pilates
Our forward-facing lifestyles from use of phones and computers, reading books, lifting and carrying and even driving our cars can leave us with sore necks and backs. The overuse of dominant muscles in our daily lives or just bad posture can result in aching knees and hips which in turn can affect our spine. Pilates will help you listen to your body and give you the muscle memory to rebalance your body whilst at the same time calming your mind.
