Pilates with Alexis (“I” ,”my” and “me”) provides a physical exercise related service to my clients, and as such requires personal information, in order to operate.  This information enables me to provide this service to you, so you can find out information about my services, and for me to receive payment.

I take the privacy of your information very seriously and this Policy explains how and for what purposes I use this information collected about you, including through your use of the Pilates with Alexis website  (referred to below as this “website”).

I will use this information in order to:

  • contact you and provide information related to physical exercise and the services requested by you
  • process transactions – Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
  • obtain your views or comments on the services I provide
  • compile information about uses of this website

Other than set out above, I will not disclose any of your personal information without your permission unless I am required to do so by law.

How I store your personal information

  • Your information is securely stored on this website.
  • I only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. If you do not attend a class for a year I will contact you to let you know I am removing your data from this website.
  • I will dispose your information securely if I delete if from this website or you can delete your data yourself via the profile page in your customer panel.

Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), the lawful basis I rely on for processing this information is:

Where I receive personal information from

The sources of personal information collected will broadly fall into the following types:

  • Via the Pilates Health Questionnaire;

When you visit websites, web servers automatically record your IP address.

This IP address is not linked to any of your personal information. I may use IP addresses to help me administer the website and to collect demographic information for aggregation purposes.

Managing your data

I implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you register for a class session.

Specifically in relation to payments via the booking system, I offer the use of a secure server using Stripe. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorised with special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards and financials, etc.) will not be stored on my server.

Your data is not shared with any third parties, or used for any other reasons than the ones stated above. I do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist me in operating this website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. I may also release your information when I believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect my or other rights, property, or safety.

Your Choices and Rights Under GDPR

You have a number of legal rights in relation to the personal information that I hold about you and you can exercise your rights by contacting me using the details set out below.
